you LIKE your job???
How many people can honestly say they like their job? They don't mind going to work (minus the waking up early part, of course), they like their coworkers, it's not TOO stressful but it's busy...
Well, I love my job. I get paid well, I have great benefits, my boss is awesome, my coworkers - for the most part - are nice and easy to get along with, and I have no problem with the type of work or workload.
So why is it that people like to make me feel stupid, for lack of a better word, because I have a degree that I am not currently using (and I'm not sure when I will be using it, if ever).
I don't get it...
Does it matter that much? Sure it sucks that I'm paying back student loans on something that's just sitting there (my diploma is in a drawer somewhere)... but if I'm happy with my job, and have the potential to move up when I feel like it, why does that bother people? Why are people so rude/insensitive when it comes to expressing their feelings on something that's my personal choice and really none of their EFFing business?
Anyway, just had to let that out... this has been bothering me lately, though I try not to let it. In the end, I have to be happy... and I know that.
And in the last few months I've been happier than I've been in quite some time... relationship-wise, friend-wise, work-wise, money-wise (of course, I could always use more... trying to work on that)... The living situation could be better, but everything else is great...
I wish people could just accept that, but people aren't very accepting or open-minded these days... sad.
